The countdown has reached 12 days until my wife is supposed to push out our first kid, Sebastian. So when she asks me to go pick up lunch, I do so gladly.

What’s great is that we’ve had unseasonably good weather here in Rhode Island, so lunch run means Mustang Time!

My Mustang doesn’t have a lot of things. It doesn’t have A/C, power windows or locks...it doesn’t have a headliner, actually. But what I do have is a bitchin heater, so the nearly freezing temperatures aren’t a problem as long as it’s dry, because drag radials.

Oh hey, four eyes.

Also, if you find yourself in Rhode Island, make sure to visit Mirrabella’s. The meatballs are basically the best meatballs there are anywhere...the owner grew up on Federal Hill in Providence, which is one of the top spots for Italian food in the country. Can't recommend it highly enough.

I’m getting the Z off the lift this afternoon, might go up the coast if the sky looks clear, we had major rain. Nice to know the engine won’t heat up too much, I got all new heater core and hoses so all good for heat if I need it! I might post some pics of the upgrades we have been doing for a few weeks on Oppo later tonight or tomorrow.

I’m not anticipating having to sell it. Actually, I just bought this car about three months ago, after I was well aware that my wife was pregnant. Before this I had a Jaguar XJ12, and selling the Jag allowed me to buy a lot of stuff for the house as well as the Mustang itself. Basically, I couldn’t not have some kind of project/toy, and the wife was very understanding of that...she’s pretty cool sometimes.

Do it. Who knows how many more nice days we’ll get before you have to put it away for a few months? I’ve been taking the Mustang out any chance I can get...hell, right now it looks like it’s gonna be 65 degrees on Christmas, so I might be taking it out that day too!

And please do post Z related content. I think I speak for all of Oppo when I say it’s something we would like to see.

The jury is still out on my daughter. She’ll be 4 on the 30th. Not sure if she’s the most beautiful creature in this world....or the architect of its destruction!
